The address fields in Zoho CRM for the Leads, Accounts (and to some
extent, the Contacts) modules are structured in such a way as to be:
a) generic as possible for multiple regions in multiple countries
b) to link to other Zoho apps
c) to link to Google Maps using the address and importantly the post code field.
For
this reason we recommend you do not create additional address fields
and merge multiple addres1, address2, address3 fields to one 'Street'
field in any CSV/Excel files prior to import, else the above
integrations to other Zoho apps such as the Finance Suite and to Google
Maps will not work.
As it is, an address
entered using the standard fields within Zoho CRM should be visible in
Google Maps by clicking the 'Locate Map' drop down near the address
section and selecting the Billing or Shipping Address (as applicable in
your CRM setup):
This will open a Google map in a new tab, which uses the address fields to pinpoint the location.
The
address fields are also used in the mobile app's Leads Near Me or
Accounts Near Me function, which can be accessed by tapping the small
map icon on the Leads or Account listing page on the mobile app:
