Gmail IMAP scenarios with users editing/deleting CRM emails and the Zoho Mail Addon
1.They delete a contact's email address and leave it as a blank field.
Deleting
the contact's Email address will remove all the associated existing
mails with the respective contact and any future mails from that Email address will not be synced with the record in CRM .Adding the Email address back in the EMail field will automatically sync all mails through IMAP. Changing
the EMail address in the record will not delete the EMails in the
original mailbox. So the original emails will remain in the mailbox and
will not be deleted.
2.They edit a Contact's email address to something else.
When
the contact record's Email address(say Email 1) is edited to a
different one(Email 2), then if there are previous mails sent and
received from the Email 2 , all mails to and from Email 2 will be synced
in the Email related list to the record.
Emails from (Email 1) will not be synced to the record now.3.They delete the Contact from the CRM entirely.
Deleting the Contact record in CRM will not delete the EMail in the mailbox.
